Colorado Postal Encyclopedia - Counties - Delta - Jefferson
In this second section of the Encyclopedia, we explore Colorado's counties in alphabetical order, beginning with Delta County. Within each county, all locations that currently have, or once had, a post office are included.
The counties covered in this section are Delta, Denver, Dolores, Eagle, Elbert, El Paso, Fremont, Garfield, Gilpin, Grand, Gunnison, Hinsdale, Huerfano, Jackson, and Jefferson.
In his research and writings, Bauer listed each location under the final county in which it was situated. For example, Daffodil is included under Douglas County even though it was originally located in Jefferson County.
For many locations, the Colorado Postal Encyclopedia also includes census data and addenda. Links to these resources are provided below each county title image.
